Take a chill....Phil

Let me take you back a day or so to a little restraunt called Applebee's.....Lee, myself and my son Dylan are watching baseball game while eating dinner because Leah is at class and that's what the fellas do. During which I make the comment......if they win tonite we should go to the game tomorrow.....and so a great idea was born, and an epic night began. Finishing watch the game that night at home.....the Twins win....ok...we are gonna go, this should be fun....electric even. Now I am not going to lie, this was going to be the first game I have gone to all season.....I have been offered free tickets before and turned them down, but we knew this night would be special because of the game. So I recruit my guy from the day job as I like to refer to it....KT, and it's on like (submit your favorite phrase here). The night begins with us meet at the MOA (mall of american, mega mall, that huge place that nobody from the TC shops at whatever you wanna call it) to catch the light rail up to the Dome, after seeing that there was about 5000 people waiting to do that, and being the math whizzes that we are, we decided to just drive up the MPLS and pay for parking as the parking would be equal to the cost of the three of us riding the light rail......(I guess we didn't want to figure in the gas it would cost....like I said math whizzes). Did I mention it was 6 oclock....yeah there was some traffic, so I say forget the interstate and take it to the city streets. As we get up into the city, we are looking for a place to park and I got to tell you it is reasonable to park for twins game....really pretty close. During a Vikes game these same ramps would be 15 or 20 dollars....tonite they are 6 or 8. But Lee tells us he knows where free parking is....at his uncle's house about a mile away....so not to come off as lazy bastards who can't walk a mile.....we all kinda look at each other and say ok $6 = Tall Draft.....yeah let's walk. Until we drive 4 miles and finally arrive at Lee's uncle's house.....not exactly a mile.....and not really walking distance.....so we drive all the way back and park in the ramp we were going to anyway before the thought of FREE parking and a mile walk turned into FREE parking and a cab ride back. At this point we are pretty jacked.....we know this is going to be an awesome game, but next the hurdle of picking up the tickets.....will call is a bitch, pay the extra 2 bucks and print em off.....really it's worth it. So we finally pick up the tickets, and get up in the game. So if you don't know, pretty much the entire upper deck is general admission, but on a busy night like last night, seats were hard to come by, unless you went up to the topish area. So we get up there with our beverages and food, out in right field and the Twins jump out to an early lead.....by the way is it just me or could the Twins jersey be any more appropriately named and designed for a female to wear.....I don't care where you are from ....we are all fans of the twins if you know what I mean. So we get through the first three innings and we decide shit it's general admission let's move around and get a different view..........on the way we hit the concourse for another round of beverages and food and walk to left field.......we look up damn there is nothing.....go a couple of more corridors down and we take a peak...not seeing anything I hear Lee say.....just follow me to the top, so like a good sheep I do.......the top of the dome is a long walk....up.....and all I see is people..and no empty seats. We get up like 4 rows from the top and start going across an row of seats and I come to a decision......as Lee has lead us directly to a POLE.....that's right general admission and Lee selects the obstructed view seats.....I was laughing my ass off......now if we had been smart enough to remember the whole free parking at my uncle's a mile away we probably could have seen this coming...lol. Never the less some people move and we find ourselves up at the very top next to the big rafter thing that is great for pounding on and making a scene....perfect. By now the twins are down 6-1, but they just put a few runs on the board and they are starting to mount a semi comeback. Now there was a lot of alcohol being consumed at this game....not by us so much but that group down there to our left passing the travler back and forth taking pulls....oh yeah and these douche bags that had moved up two rows to be directly below us and were really drunk, obscene and for some odd reason could keep thier damn attention on the field....instead us and the wall behind us became more interesting......so I had to ask......"can I help you with something patna....(you know like partner...but better)" He starts fumbling his drunk words and I conviently tell him to shut the fuck up and turn around. To which he gets upset....I can't blame him, I would let someone talk to me like that either....by know he is standing up and talking all kinds of shit, and Lee and I are just laughing and him and pointing at him, and making a total mockery of him. He continues to promise me all the things he will do to me, and I can't help but tell him that I am a man standing right here and if he wants to do something we can tussle from the top of the dome to the front entrance, I ain't afraid to go knuckle up with some drunk bastard while I am sobering trying to enjoy the game....if I was drunk he probably would have already recieved the old 1-2. His friends are telling him to shut up and sit down, and the usual girl moderator was putting a calm on the situation, and now standing in the row below us and while he was now one row lower still talking shit and making gestures at me....I guess he was getting more angry as I was blowing him kisses by now......the real same here is one, he would have gotten his ass beat and probably thrown down about three rows of but the chick that was with them, was a real baseball fan and wanted to watch the game, but because of this incident they left so that dude didn't end up in the ER. What a perfect time for them to leave as now we could turn out attention back to the game and the twins were really trying to make a game out of this thing......
This was also when I realized that I was standing next to a huge rafter....and I was fired up so I started pounding on it....and it turned into a rally cry for the whole section.......before you knew it the twins were tied, the whole section was looking to us to get the loud pound going and we made about 6 new friends that were glad we told those drunk bastard to shut the hell up as apparently they were bothering other people....so the Dome was alive!!! Before you knew it....the damn twins pulled it off and won the game and people were jumping around giving high fives......dancing, drinking, pounding on shit and it was amazing. I am a big sports fan and this was by far the most amazing sporting event I have ever been to. It was a roller coaster of emtions and I loved it! So now we walked back to the car and got stuck in traffic for and hour and forty five mins....it was great.....I hated it. But this is all why I live in this place.....traffic is a needed evil and we can't avoid it, but being able to go to the game on a whim....watch an amazing sporting event, and have an electric night.....it's the best. So what have we learned today.....KT and myself are not math whizzes.......Don't follow Lee unless you know where he is going and what he is doing......and don't pound on the rafters for an hour...your hands will swell up.

Go Twins.....
Go TC......
and you go drunk guy........go your ass home, get some rest and try to enjoy the damn game next time and think about the nice young lady you bring to the game and respect the fact that she might actually like to watch it and not have to baby sit your drunk ass.........

Obama.....McCain.....are listening???

I have to wonder if any presidential candidate is listening to the American people right now. The persona the media would give us is the McCain is old and out of touch with America and Obama is a celebutant with his finger on the pulse......of what I am not sure. Look fellas......you want to seal this election up this is your chance.....the average american who gives two shits about anything will tell you that this bailout situation is bullshit and we don't want it. Welfare for the rich.....socialism for the rich.....this is what's makes people say the richer get richer and we are proving it by doing it. These people are criminals and frauds.....they deserve to run themselves into the ground and feel the pain of the bad business they ran, plain and simple. Maybe you are saying to yourself, well Phil I don't really understand all this anyway, so why should it matter to me. Let me try to explain this at a fairly simple level......without dates and timelines.....just general ideas of how big of a problem this is and how the gov't is force feeding this to us...through the biggest criminal of it all. The federal reserve bank....which by the way there is nothing federal about it......owns and or controls all of the banks, they control interest rates, they control the amount of money in our treasury, they print our money, and they can do what they see fit with it with no regulation. They maniaclly create credit and lending bubbles....that they pop when the feel the need to create inflation and recession. Without getting to far of track when you here the phrase National Debt....who do you think that is too....well it is to the federal reserve and other countries. Everything we get from the Federal Reserve comes with and interest rate......this is why the debt compounds itself so fast, I mean everything.......even when then pump more money into the "economy or the treasury" it has an interest rate attatched to it. Are you starting to grasp this yet.........There is so much more detail to this but with just basic points we can see how the American gets screwed in all this......chew on this.....all of the Federal Income Tax collected in this country....and not a cent is spent on America, but rather paid to the Federal Reserve to try and cover the interest on our debt....just the interest......I mean I own a house, through the bank....my mortage is somewhere around 1500 dollars a month......and only about 200 of that gets applied to the principle of my debt....the rest covers interest. What I am saying is that the government is like a really big household.....it borrows everything and is a slave to debt and a system of credit designed to keep it broke and borrowing......desgined by who you ask....well the criminals at the federal reserve and the bastards that started it...the Rockerfellers and Rothschilds. So let's bring this back to the bailout.....Wall Street millionaires and Banking millionaires.....made bad decisions....poor lending, criminal inflatable interest rate mortgages, and insured bad debts.....that's there problem not ours....maybe they should go to the Federal Reserve and ask for the money themselves or just fail and go under.....let someone else buy up the bad debt they can't afford and re-write the mortgages. Why do we the American tax payer need to borrow money on the behalf of people who drive mazarati's to the country club.....do it your damn self......A free market will correct itself....we are supposed to be a free markey economy and country, not a socialist/communist country where the gov't controls the market......let the federal reserve control the market if we want to control something we should control our monetary policy....it's more powerful than any bomb we drop on the middle east. So where does this leave us.....700 billions dollars minimum that we are going to have to borrow from the federal reserve to pay off debts they create through the system of credit and lending they enforce.....criminal...dammit.....criminals. Robbing peter (the american people) to pay Paul (the wallstreeters and the fed) will not get you anywhere but popular with Paul.......any who give a fuck what Paul thinks......that's who doesn't care about us....not our gov't........there are people in our gov't who do care....it's the puppet master shadow gov't that doesn't give a damn about you.

I really hope the Mayans are right of 2012....because I need some peace and enlightment.....and could use less of this materialism.

I am out.

A word from Dr. Paul

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Dear Friends,

Whenever a Great Bipartisan Consensus is announced, and a compliant media assures everyone that the wondrous actions of our wise leaders are being taken for our own good, you can know with absolute certainty that disaster is about to strike.

The events of the past week are no exception.

The bailout package that is about to be rammed down Congress' throat is not just economically foolish. It is downright sinister. It makes a mockery of our Constitution, which our leaders should never again bother pretending is still in effect. It promises the American people a never-ending nightmare of ever-greater debt liabilities they will have to shoulder. Two weeks ago, financial analyst Jim Rogers said the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made America more communist than China! "This is welfare for the rich," he said. "This is socialism for the rich. It's bailing out the financiers, the banks, the Wall Streeters."

That describes the current bailout package to a T. And we're being told it's unavoidable.

The claim that the market caused all this is so staggeringly foolish that only politicians and the media could pretend to believe it. But that has become the conventional wisdom, with the desired result that those responsible for the credit bubble and its predictable consequences - predictable, that is, to those who understand sound, Austrian economics - are being let off the hook. The Federal Reserve System is actually positioning itself as the savior, rather than the culprit, in this mess!

• The Treasury Secretary is authorized to purchase up to $700 billion in mortgage-related assets at any one time. That means $700 billion is only the very beginning of what will hit us.

• Financial institutions are "designated as financial agents of the Government." This is the New Deal to end all New Deals.

• Then there's this: "Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency." Translation: the Secretary can buy up whatever junk debt he wants to, burden the American people with it, and be subject to no one in the process.

There goes your country.

Even some so-called free-market economists are calling all this "sadly necessary." Sad, yes. Necessary? Don't make me laugh.

Our one-party system is complicit in yet another crime against the American people. The two major party candidates for president themselves initially indicated their strong support for bailouts of this kind - another example of the big choice we're supposedly presented with this November: yes or yes. Now, with a backlash brewing, they're not quite sure what their views are. A sad display, really.

Although the present bailout package is almost certainly not the end of the political atrocities we'll witness in connection with the crisis, time is short. Congress may vote as soon as tomorrow. With a Rasmussen poll finding support for the bailout at an anemic seven percent, some members of Congress are afraid to vote for it. Call them! Let them hear from you! Tell them you will never vote for anyone who supports this atrocity.

The issue boils down to this: do we care about freedom? Do we care about responsibility and accountability? Do we care that our government and media have been bought and paid for? Do we care that average Americans are about to be looted in order to subsidize the fattest of cats on Wall Street and in government? Do we care?

When the chips are down, will we stand up and fight, even if it means standing up against every stripe of fashionable opinion in politics and the media?

Times like these have a way of telling us what kind of a people we are, and what kind of country we shall be.

In liberty,

Ron Paul
